TAKING CARE OF YOUR GARMENT

Our product is dyed by hand using plants, wood, fruits and rainwater. Each piece is individual and unique. Due to the gentler processes involved, naturally dyed clothing requires slightly different care.

CARING FOR YOUR GARMENT

Linen is a naturally anti-bacterial fabric therefore we recommend washing it as little as possible. Think climate and air your garment to refresh instead. The less you wash it the better (and the dye will become less sensitive with age). When you do wash your garment, be sure to follow the instructions on the care label.

Cold hand wash in pH neutral soap

Natural dyes are sensitive to pH levels. Using a pH neutral soap will help to minimise colour changes.

Air Dry in the shade

Natural dyes are sensitive to prolonged direct sunlight.

Do Not Dry Clean

Dry cleaning is chemically very harsh for the environment therefore we haven’t tested our products with this so cannot say how they would react.

Natural dyes react to acid so please be careful when handling citrus or citrus juices.

Avoid spot cleaning stains. Wash as normal.

Following these instructions should keep your garment in good condition. There is still a change that there might be subtle colour changes after washing depending on the pH levels in your water. This is part of the progression of natural dyes.
